Sources have told us that Fry’s may be planning on scaling back the number of deals on Black Friday, instead focusing on a more Black Weekend.
Supposedly Fry’s may be only running a 1-page Black Friday ads instead of their normal 8-page ad. They are also planning on putting the 8-page ad in Saturday’s ad.
This may be a plan to have stronger weekend sales. Traditionally, the Saturday and Sunday after Black Friday have been very weak, with additional returns also adding to a slow buying day.
This would also give Fry’s a good chance to lure shoppers into the store who could not find what they needed elsewhere.
